South Arts has opened applications for this year’s Southern Prize and State Fellowships. We are offering up to $30,000 in cash awards to visual artists in our region (AL, FL, GA, KY, LA, MS, NC, SC, and TN); this includes nine State Fellowships worth $5,000 each as well as one Southern Prize winner receiving an additional $25,000 and one finalist receiving an additional $10,000. In addition, the Southern Prize winner receives a two-week residency at The Hambidge Center for the Creative Arts and Sciences. The deadline to apply is December 3, 2019.
