Elizabeth Sanford is a Nashville native who grew up exploring the neighborhood woods; now she creates visual fairy tales inspired by woodland walks and childhood memories. In addition to a long career at Watkins College of Art, Elizabeth has more than thirty years of experience teaching adult community education classes in watercolor, color theory, mixed media, book arts, natural abstractions, and more. Elizabeth encourages a collaborative learning environment, working with each student individually as they discover new ways to explore their innate creativity. Her artwork is included in many permanent collections, such as the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art.
