Connye Florance – is an award-winning vocalist and actress whose career credits include honors as Jazz Discovery’s “Jazz Vocalist Of The Year “; Nashville Grammy Nomination for Album of The Year, (Turn My Heart) and live performances across the country. She is a published songwriter, has released two studio albums and two live releases and been featured on a variety of music festival and jazz club stages.
Connye has been a teaching Artist for TPAC Education for many years, has worked as vocal performance instructor Nashville Jazz Workshop and continues to teach workshops and private lessons in the Middle TN area.

Program Type: Arts Curriculum
Program Description:
Students will explore rhythm & rhyme, “thought-singing” group singing and musical improvisation while learning the basics of songwriting through the lens of story. Culminating event will include a presentation of musical stories/songs created by participants.
Materials required:
- Paper and Pencil and/or voice recorder (Cell phone)
- A willing spirit
