Tennessee’s Top Students to Compete in POL State Finals Saturday in Murfreesboro

The Tennessee Poetry Out Loud State Finals are happening this Saturday in Murfreesboro. The public is invited to support these incredible student artists as they bring classic and contemporary poetry to life.
The Tennessee Arts Commission will host the finals at 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, at The Center for the Arts in Murfreesboro, TN. The event is free and open to the public.
Poetry Out Loud is a national recitation competition organized by the Tennessee Arts Commission in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts and the Poetry Foundation.
For more than 20 years, the program has offered performance and learning opportunities for students. The Tennessee champion will receive $1,000 and represent the state in the Poetry Out Loud National Finals in Washington, D.C.
