Tell your story to StoryCorps in Nashville

From March 11 to April 8, the StoryCorps MobileBooth—an airstream trailer outfitted with a recording station—will be parked at the Nashville Public Radio, 630 Mainstream Drive, ready to record the stories of Tennesseans. Funded in part by the National Endowment for the Arts, StoryCorps is a nonprofit that travels across the country recording the oral history of everyday Americans.

The StoryCorps mission is to preserve and share humanity’s stories in order to build connections between people and create a more just and compassionate world. As a public service, stories are archived at the American Folklife Center in the Library of Congress. StoryCorps’ original animated shorts feature some of the best-loved radio stories.

StoryCorps invites you to sign up to interview a family member or a friend and preserve your family history and stories. There is no cost to participate. People are encouraged to talk in any language. To make a reservation visit storycorps.org/reservations or call 1-800-850-4406 at 10:00 a.m. CST.
