Sonya Maize-Abrams is the founder of The Art of Anything, a Tennessee-based arts organization dedicated to inspiring creativity through visual arts and lifelong learning. Since 2016, she has designed and taught Creative Aging programs that encourage artistic expression, confidence, social connection, and personal growth for older adults. Her workshops include mixed media, painting, journaling, storytelling, paper crafts, and legacy art projects for all skill levels. An author, teaching artist, and arts advocate, Sonya creates welcoming environments where participants discover new creative abilities while celebrating their unique life experiences through art.

Participants explore painting, collage, mixed media, paper arts, and decorative
techniques while learning new artistic skills in a welcoming and supportive environment. Projects are designed for all experience levels and encourage creativity, confidence,
self-expression, and social engagement. Each participant completes an original work of
art to display or share with family and friends. Activities are adaptable for seated participants, limited mobility, and varying physical abilities, making them ideal for senior
centers, libraries, assisted living communities, independent living communities, churches, and community organizations.

cards, vision boards, and keepsake albums celebrating life experiences, family
traditions, and personal achievements. Throughout the series, participants
progressively build artistic skills while strengthening memory recall, creativity,
communication, confidence, and social connection. Each participant completes meaningful keepsakes that preserve personal stories and encourage conversations with
family and future generations.
