Barrie began teaching more than 15 years ago to patients at Covington Care Nursing Home, where she taught in a variety of media. As Director of the Tipton County Museum, she implemented and taught many art classes including Artist Series for Kids, Artist Series for Adults, and Summer Art Camp for Kids. She has been teaching art at the VA in Memphis since September 2021, to the Tipton County 4H children since 2022, and for Creative Aging since July 2023. In 2019 she illustrated “The Mouse in the Tractor” by Elaine Weir Watkins.
