Welcome Jason Goldston as TN Arts New Communications and Marketing Director

The Tennessee Arts Commission is excited to introduce Jason Goldston as the new Director of Communications and Marketing. He comes to the Commission from the Office of Communication at Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) where he served as the Multimedia Project Manager since 2017 and brings 20 years of professional communications experience in both public and private sectors. 

Jason has not only experience designing internal and external print and web materials for TDEC, he has also been a professional trainer for TDEC’s primary graphic design software, Adobe Creative Suite. He brings extensive video production experience, including for the First Lady’s TN Serves initiative. Jason originated the video production function within TDEC and has taught video/cinema production at four different colleges. He has also taught speechwriting and public speaking classes at Austin Peay State University.

Jason, a native Texan, earned his undergraduate degree in Mass Communications from The University of Southern Mississippi and his graduate degree in Communications from Austin Peay State University. He is a versatile communications professional with a sense of adventure and a desire to try new things, which led him to many locations and positions across the country. He has worked in theater, radio, television, film, corporate communications and marketing, and academia.

Jason has a passion for the arts, rooted in amateur theatrical experience. He is eagerly awaiting when we can all get out to enjoy exhibits and live performances in-person again.
