Artists across the South are redefining what visual art can be.

South Arts’ Southern Prize & State Fellowships for Visual Arts recognize and celebrate exceptional artists across the South. This cycle will award $80,000 to nine outstanding visual artists working in any medium. Eligible artists must be based in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, or Tennessee.

Here are key Dates:

• Fee-Waiver Request Deadline: March 11, 2026
• Application Deadline: March 18, 2026
