41st Annual Fall Tennessee Craft Fair
Continuing the Hand Crafted Tradition
From Laurie Davis, TN Craft –
Excite your senses and experience the 41st Annual Fall Tennessee Craft Fair during Tennessee Craft Week on Centennial Park’s lower lawn, October 11, 12, and 13. Professional artisans from Tennessee and the surrounding states join craft artists traveling from California, Rhode Island, Colorado, Pennsylvania, Utah, and more.
Serving approximately 50,000 visitors, the Fall Tennessee Craft Fair is the largest craft fair of its caliber in the region. It is one of two signature fairs, held each spring and fall. Tennessee Craft continues to motivate and galvanize future generations of craft artists and collectors through valuable year-round programming including educational workshops, opportunities to showcase handcrafted work, mentoring, workshops, and scholarships. Purchasing artisan work forges a personal connection between the makers and the public. Visitors enjoy learning what inspires each artist as they transform clay, wood, metal, glass and other mediums into fine craft.
Tennessee Craft fairs cultivate emerging craft artists and educate the public on various craft processes. Attendees explore work by up-and-coming makers in the Emerging Makers Tent and watch regional artisans creating new artwork in the Demonstration Tent. Another popular place is the Kids’ Tent, where young artists have a space to create “hands-on” craft similar to exhibiting artists. With innovative partners such as the Frist Art Museum, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum; Conexión Américas, Nashville Public Library Puppet Truck, and Turnip Green Creative Reuse, fair-goers are impressed by the depth and breadth of the creative energy permeating Middle Tennessee. Support the craft economy and engage in a community experience like no other!
The Fall Tennessee Craft Fair will be open Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., CST. As always, this event is free and open to the public.
