Tennessee Craft Recipient of Windgate Challenge Grant

From Laurie Davis, TN Craft –

Tennessee Craft is the recipient of a $25,000 Challenge Grant from the Windgate Foundation. The Windgate Foundation supports significant educational programs in contemporary craft and visual arts, and in art history preservation efforts. Most notably, the Windgate Foundation supports other non-profit organizations in the craft community like American Craft CouncilAppalachian Center for CraftArrowmont School of Arts and CraftsCERF+, the Center for Craft, Creativity and Design, the Mint Museum and Penland School of Crafts.

This grant opportunity will match donations to our Annual Giving Campaign, enabling Tennessee Craft to expand its donor base, fundraising knowledge and outreach skills. Over time, a broader base of support along with increased engagement would enable Tennessee Craft to tailor and enhance our offerings and adapt our approach to a changing 21st century.

Every Tennessean benefits from a thriving arts community, and Tennessee Craft is grateful for the community’s valuable support as we continue to champion fine craft artists and their work.
