The Touring Arts Grants Program returns.

The Tennessee Arts Commission announces this week the return of our popular Touring Arts Grants Program. This category supports Tennessee presenters by providing grants of no more than 50% (up to $5,000) of fees for professional artists being presented to the public and who will offer an educational component with their engagement. Funds are available for artists engaged through June 15, 2015.

Complete guidelines (including additional eligibility requirements) and application instructions are available by clicking here. For further information on this program, please contact Jared Morrison at 615-532-9801 or William Coleman at 615-532-9797.

A new staff member joined us this week. Krishna Adams is our new Director of Visual Arts, Craft, Media, and Design and comes to us from the Knoxville Museum of Arts. Krishna brings 17 years of professional curatorial, programming and development experience. She holds a Masters in Information Science from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in studio art from Middle Tennessee State University. Her extensive experience in the visual arts will ensure that we continue to bring engaging exhibits to the Tennessee Arts Commission Gallery as well as further our work with various partners to invest in Tennessee artists across the state. Please join me in welcoming Krishna.
