Important Dates for FY28 Annual Grant Application Cycle

Mark your calendars with important dates below for Fiscal Year 2028 Annual Grants.

• October 9, 2026 – FY28 Annual Applications open in the online grants system.
• October 30, 2026 – Organizations interested in moving into or changing categories within Operating Support must submit a letter of interest outlining eligibility by October 30th. Current Operating Support grantees planning to apply in the same Operating Support category as currently funded do not submit a letter.
• December 18, 2026 – FY28 Operating Support Applications are due. This is a NEW earlier deadline to submit Operating Support applications. Grants in Operating Support include Major Cultural Institutions, Partnership Support, Small Rural Partnership Support, and Small Urban Partnership Support. Please plan accordingly.
• January 8, 2027 – FY28 Project Support Applications are due. Project Support includes Arts for All, Arts Education Community Impact, Arts Education Project Support, Arts Project Support, Rural Arts Project Support, Creative Placemaking, and Rural Arts Facilities Fund.
• January 15, 2027 – FY28 Individual Artist Fellowship Applications are due.
• March-April 2027 – FY28 Annual Grant panel meetings.

All FY28 Annual Grant guidelines will be available in September on the Grant Opportunities page. Please check back at that time. The guidelines will provide important information about eligibility requirements, information needed for the applications, and what each grant supports.

TN Arts also will be offering virtual and in-person Grants Workshops again this fall. The Grants Workshops are a great way to connect with others around the state who carry out arts programs, meet TN Arts staff, and ask questions related to seeking and managing TN Arts grant funds. More to come.
