The Hermann Jaeger Juried Fine Art Competition–call for entries

The Neosho Arts Council (NAC), of Missouri, is hosting The Hermann Jaeger Juried Fine Art Competition. This is a regional art competition, and NAC is holding a call for artist entries. The exhibit is open to all artists 18 years of age or older, amateur or professional.  Entries must be original 2D works. Deadline to enter is July 20, 2015. Cash awards will be given: $300 first place, $200 second place, $100 third place.

Open to artists living in Missouri, Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Tennessee.

The Exhibition will be displayed at The Neosho Area Chamber of Commerce. The Neosho Arts Council will charge an entry fee of $35. To fill out the entry form, submit images and pay entry fee, click here

Juror Emi Gennis will judge works for the exhibition from the .jpeg images submitted and will then select the award-winning works.  The Neosho Arts Council will publish an Online Exhibition Catalog including all accepted entries and the award winning works with a statement by the juror.

Emi Gennis is currently an assistant professor of art at Pittsburg State University. She holds a BA from the University of Chicago and an MFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Gennis personally works as an illustrator and cartoonist. Her work has been published and exhibited internationally and she has been guest lecturer across the country.

The Neosho Arts Council is a nonprofit Missouri corporation whose purpose is to strengthen and enrich the community by growing appreciation, participation and support of the arts through it’s charitable and educational activities.
