Tennessee Makerspaces Webinar on May 13th

Tennessee Makerspaces

Are you looking for a creative community?

A place to share knowledge, resources, and workspace?

Makerspaces, like community art centers, are facilities where individuals come together to learn and create – sharing knowledge, resources, and workspace. They are open to both hobbyists and professional artists, allowing individuals greater freedom to pursue their passion. Makerspaces also support and serve creative entrepreneurs and businesses that foster innovation in our communities and contribute to our local and statewide creative economies.

In this webinar, you will hear from representatives from 4 makerspaces from across Tennessee:

  • Steve Roche – Make Nashville, Nashville
  • Tori Nute – Crosstown Arts, Memphis
  • Danny Chamberlin – Midsouth Makers, Memphis
  • Kate Warren – Art120, Chattanooga

Our speakers will give presentations on their makerspaces and participate in a panel discussion focusing on resources offered, community-building among their members, and the diverse ways they engage with their local communities outside their makerspaces.

  • Resources include shared tools, training, and classes in disciplines such as 3-D printing, photography, fiber arts, metal working, ceramics and more.
  • Makerspaces build community among their members through collaboration, peer-to-peer learning opportunities, and residency programs.
  • Makerspaces engage with their local communities through maker fairs and markets.

Join us on Wednesday, May 13th at 2pm Central/3pm Eastern. Registration is required.
