Special Opportunities Grants for Tennessee Arts & Arts Education Conference Now Open

Starting today, March 1, Special Opportunities applications are open to assist with allowable expenses for attending the 2018 Tennessee Arts & Arts Education Conference, Design Thinking: A Pathway to Innovation in the Arts presented by the TN Arts Commission and hosted by the Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts.

The conference will be held on the on the campus of Austin Peay State University (APSU) in Clarksville TN on June 19-21, 2018. Deadline to apply for this Special Opportunities grant will be Wednesday, May 23, 2018. This grant opportunity will be funded based on accurately completed submissions on a first-come, first-served basis, and will close when all funds are allocated or by the deadline, whichever comes first.

This grant category may provide assistance to individual Tennesseans or to arts and non-arts organizations with funding support for participation in activities or projects identified by the Arts Commission, and that provide professional development and skills-building activities which contribute to the arts sector. Applicants must make a compelling case as to why their participation will have a substantial impact on their work and/or community.

Before beginning an application, you should read the grant guidelines. This grant category provides up to $500 for individual applicants or up to $750 for organizational applicants registering a minimum of 2 or more staff toward registration fees and travel to attend the conference. Organizational applicants may register a single staff member but should adjust their request to a maximum of $500.
