New Online Grants System Registration starts November 1

By Carol White, Associate Director of Operations –

filesWe have a LOT of paper grant files at the Tennessee Arts Commission. They can be found everywhere — on desks, in files cabinets, stored in boxes under desks. All of it is very important information, but it sure takes up a lot of room, despite following the state’s retention and disposal policies. This mountain of paper files is just one of the reasons we are looking forward to transitioning to our new Online Grants System that is completely paper-free.

Remember that beginning November 1, 2016, any individual or organization planning to apply for a fiscal year 2018 grant must register in the new System. Registration begins November 1 and runs through December 15, 2016. Registering after that date will cause delays in processing your grant applications. Watch for an e-blast Tuesday with instructions on how to register.

Also beginning November 1, 2016, there will be detailed information on our website on how to use the new system. We will be conducting regional grants workshops during November and offering a webinar to help you learn the new system. Fiscal year 2018 grant guidelines applications will become available later in November, 2016. During this transition time, feel free to contact Commission staff to answer any questions you might have.
