Last chance to apply for an STS grant for your school! The Tennessee Arts Commission’s Student Ticket Subsidy grant program is currently still accepting applications from schools in your district for projects occurring before May 24, 2024. Applicants should submit an application by April 24th. Schools that have already received an STS grant not exceeding $3,000, may apply for additional funding!
Schools can apply for up to $3,000 for arts-related field trips or in-school residencies facilitated by professional artists or organizations on the Commission’s Teaching Artist Roster during the school day. Funding can cover artist/ticket fees and/or transportation costs.
There is a streamlined application process that is easily accessible and relatively quick for school administrators and teachers, and we hope that you will share this information with anyone who might be interested in providing opportunities for students in your school to learn in and through the arts.
Next steps for applicants:
- Review the Student Ticket Subsidy guidelines
- Browse the Teaching Artist Roster to select a field trip or in-school residency
- First-time applicants register for an account in the online grants portal and create organization profile
- Submit application
- Receive notification of award within 30 days from the time of application
