Grants Update

In grants news, Student Ticket Subsidy (STS) applications for the 2015-2016 school year will become available August 4. Started in 2010, the program provides funds for artist fees, ticket costs and transportation fees for students from Tennessee public schools to experience a broad variety of cultural opportunities, arts disciplines and artists. It has given the opportunity to more than 500,000 students to experience the arts. Schools may apply for a maximum of $3,000 per fiscal year; follow the link above to review guidelines and learn event qualifications.

All Annual Grants will open on or around October 15. To prepare for the FY2017 Annual Grants season, the Commission is in the process of organizing grants workshops. Details will be shared in the near future, but we do expect to host three or four workshops in each of Tennessee’s three regions over the course of mid August through the end of September.
