Annual Grant Panel Reviews Begin April 3

From Hal Partlow, Associate Director of Grants –

Grants

As part of the annual grant review process each year, advisory panels are held so that citizens from across Tennessee can provide expert guidance in evaluating grant applications. They help enable the Tennessee Arts Commission to make informed decisions in awarding grants and technical assistance recommendations to applicants. Advisory panels represent a specific artistic discipline or grant program.

Representatives from organizations that are being reviewed are encouraged to participate in the panel review process. Attendance is recommended but not required. To attend in person, please note your review time and be present by the earliest time in your group. The panel meeting will be held at the Commission located at 401 Charlotte Avenue, Nashville, TN 37243. Enter through the Charlotte Avenue entrance.  Please allow for extra time to park and pass through security.  There are two (2) paid parking options near our building: Public Square Parking (accessible off Deaderick Street) and Nashville’s MTA’s Parking garage (accessible off Charlotte Avenue).

For your convenience, a telephone dial-in attendance option for Advisory Panel Meetings is available. To connect, please dial 888-778-2006. You may dial in, on the appropriate day, approximately 5 minutes prior to your organization’s scheduled time (see schedule below). The Commission makes every effort to maintain this schedule, but please dial in early in case we are ahead of schedule. Please mute your phone after being connected to the conference; no need to announce yourself to the group. When staff introduces your review, we will ask if a representative is on the line.

Staff is always willing to answer any questions you may have prior to the advisory panel meeting. Don’t hesitate to contact me or your program director!
