ABC Applications Due July 1, 2016

The FY2017 application deadline for the Arts Build Community (ABC) grant is quickly approaching — submit through eGrant by 4:30 p.m. CT on July 1, 2016. 

The TN Arts Commission has partnered with 13 arts and cultural agencies and development districts across the state to offer this grant opportunity, benefitting a wide range of grassroots community organizations.

ABC grants provide support for arts and cultural projects that positively impact communities across TN. Funding can be used for arts and cultural projects that: introduce communities to unfamiliar art forms or programs; address social issues; strengthen community engagement; target youth for after-school initiatives; enhance a community’s identity or brand; add value to tourism efforts; and encourage further economic development. Grant awards range from $500 to $2,500, and each grant requires a dollar for dollar match.

Partnering agencies and districts advise prospective ABC grantees and conduct competitive grant review meetings for applicants based within their service area. Program guidelines and contact information for designated agencies can be found on the  Community Arts Development webpage.
