Anne Davis brings 39 years of business and nonprofit management experience to her role as the third President of The Christy-Houston Foundation, Inc. In her 7th year, she manages both the day-to-day operations and the relationships that connect the Foundation to their nonprofit grantee partners and the community.
Her experience includes serving as the Director of the Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Foundation, where she cultivated support for the hospital through annual giving, major gifts, planned giving and special events. Highlights of that time were the completion of a $20M “A Time to Build Up” capital campaign in 2013, the creation of the Power of Pink “Wine Around the Square” community event in 2011 and overseeing the popular “Rutherford Society Gala” each year.
Anne is the Founding President of the Junior League of Murfreesboro, a Past President of Rutherford CABLE, Past President of the Charity Circle of Murfreesboro and a Past Senior Warden of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
Currently she serves on the Murfreesboro Community Investment Trust Board of Directors, First Horizon Rutherford County Advisory Board, as Secretary of the Tennessee Arts Commission, and a member of the Nashville Chapter of International Women’s Forum and the Col. Hardy Murfree DAR Chapter.
She is a graduate of Leadership Rutherford and Leadership Middle Tennessee. Currently she is serving as the 2024 Philanthropy Southeast Annual Meeting Chair for the upcoming event at the OMNI Nashville in November.
Originally from Huntsville, Anne holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Alabama, where she served as SGA Vice President, President of the Student Senate and as President of Delta Delta Delta.
She and her husband, Jeff, have been residents of Murfreesboro for 41 years and have two children and four grandchildren who call her “Lovey.” Anne is most passionate about her faith, family, friends and philanthropy.
