CMA Foundation Accepting Applications for Music Teachers of Excellence Award

The CMA Foundation’s Music Teachers of Excellence supports educators who demonstrate exemplary teaching through student learning. These educators are committed to making a positive impact on their school and community while advocating for the broader cause of music education. In addition, recipients confidently overcome challenges in the classroom and are constantly seeking opportunities to continue to develop themselves professionally.

The Music Teachers of Excellence award is open to full time, K-12 public school music teachers who have at least four years of experience. Teachers who have won three years in a row must take one year off from applying.

The application process includes narrative responses, recommendations, and a video lesson demonstration. Applications are open through November 18, 2019. Visit musicteachersofexcellence.org to learn more.
