Tennessee Craft Opens Applications for Master Artist Apprentice Program

From Tennessee Craft –

Tennessee Craft, in partnership with the Tennessee Arts Commission, is calling for applications for its 2025-2026 Master Artist Apprentice Program (MAAP).

The program provides emerging artists with a concentrated, six-month one-on-one mentorship under a master craft artist to develop their skills in traditional and contemporary craft.

Selected apprentices will receive a $1,900 stipend for the program, which runs from December 1, 2025, to June 15, 2026. The mentorship is designed to help artists reach a new level of professional development by setting and achieving challenging goals.

Eligible apprentices must be Tennessee residents, at least 18 years of age, and not currently enrolled in an arts-related degree program.

Applications must be submitted online by 11:59 p.m. Central Time on November 11, 2025. More information and program guidelines are available on the Tennessee Craft website. https://tennesseecraft.org/programs/maap/
