Rolling Grants Remain Available for Arts Activities

Tennessee Arts Commission fiscal Year 2024 Rolling Grants remain available to cover a range of arts activities and arts services throughout the state between now and June 2024. Applicants are encouraged to apply for projects that range from a focus on serving an underrepresented population to professional development, arts learning, or engaging audiences in performances and hands-on artmaking.

Rolling Grants, by definition, are grants reviewed and awarded on an ongoing basis, according to the availability of funds, and distributed first-come, first-served. FY2024 TN Arts Commission grantees are also eligible to apply for a Rolling Grant if the project is not currently covered by another TN Arts grant. Arts Access Mini-Grant: Support for new applicants for arts projects which focus on increasing access to underserved and underrepresented people. Up to $2,000. Kim Johnson, Director of Arts Access at kim.johnson@tn.gov

Arts Education Teacher Incentive: Support for Tennessee educators and teaching artists participating in arts education professional development. Up to $1,000. Chris Sweatt, Director of Arts Education at chris.sweatt@tn.gov

Special Opportunities: Arts Engage Grant: Supports projects that engage the creative sector to address needs/opportunities within arts organizations or needs/opportunities in communities through the arts. Creative Aging Tennessee III: Support sequential arts learning for seniors aged 60+ in rural and/or culturally specific communities with the aim of improving arts skills and knowledge, well-being, and social connectedness. Up to $5,000. Kim Johnson, Director of Arts Access, at kim.johnson@tn.gov

Student Ticket Subsidy: Support for artist fees, tickets, and transportation for Tennessee public schools carrying out arts field trips and in-school artist residencies. All TN counties remain open. Up to $3,000. Julia Stark, Arts Learning Specialist at julia.stark@tn.gov

Targeted Arts Development Initiative:  Support for arts projects in underserved, rural communities with special focus on Distressed counties and At-Risk counties. Contact program directors as listed in guidelines. For general inquiries, Ann Brown, Associate Director of Grants at ann.brown@tn.gov

Touring: Support for presenting touring performing artists and groups for events and festivals in communities across the state, including in rural counties. Up to $5,000. Jared Morrison, Director of Performing Arts at jared.morrison@tn.gov
