ArtsBuild Technical Mastery Grants Now Accepting Applications

ArtsBuild is excited to launch a new ArtsBuild grant opportunity! Grants are a one-to-one matching grant of up to $2,500 for arts organizations to meet specific technical mastery needs such as purchasing equipment, building organizational capacity, and training board and staff members in key skills or equipment. Organizations can apply starting on Thursday, February 9 at 9:00 a.m. until Thursday, February 23 at 5:00 p.m.
Technical Mastery Grant
ArtsBuild believes that building organizational capacity and skills is essential for carrying out effective, inclusive arts sector work. ArtsBuild will offer these technical mastery funds until the funding runs out.
Designed to meet specific technical mastery needs of arts organizations with annual budgets of up to $500,000 in Hamilton County, this program awards a one-to-one matching grant to purchase equipment or help build organizational capacity and train board or staff members in key skills or equipment such as:
- Leadership development
- Fundraising and planned giving
- Board responsibilities and roles
- Diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion
- Long range planning
- Financial management
- Legal issues
- Community organizing
- Informing community/media about work
- Training fees, materials, and travel
- Software or hardware purchases
Grant Amount: The maximum Technical Mastery grant is $2500 on a $5,000 project. A 1:1 cash match is required. 75% of funding is issued when awarded grant. The remaining 25% of funding is issued upon successful conclusion of grant terms.
Terms of Grant:
- Funding requests are accepted Thursday, February 9th 9am EST through Thursday, February 23rd 5pm. EST (*No early requests are accepted. Requests are accepted until funding runs out.).
- The grant is to be used within 6 months of receipt of funds.
- At the conclusion of grant, an email re-confirming how grant funds were used and a final
vendor invoice is required.

- A written description of why you are applying for the Technical Mastery grant. (No more than 500 words).
- A vendor quote for the services you are applying to cover.
- Documentation of your matching funds.
- 501(c) 3 determination letter.
- Mission statement. ***The applying nonprofit organization must have a primary written
mission of year-round arts and cultural programming. - W-9.
