East Tennessee Community Design Center spearheaded a community partnership to create a concrete and steel archway for a planned extension of the Mary Vestal Greenway. This project realized a goal set for the South Knoxville Vestal neighborhood through collaborative planning begun in 2013 with the Aslan Foundation and Project for Public Spaces.
