Introducing the New Online Grants System

By Anne B. Pope, Executive Director –

GrantsThe Tennessee Arts Commission is implementing a brand new online grants system that will eventually replace the old eGrant system beginning November 1, 2016.

The new online grants system will save many trees as the Commission goes 100% paper-free for all FY18 grant applications. We are very excited to rollout this user-friendly system that will help us be more efficient and reduce the cost of doing business.

FY18 grant applications will be available on November 16, 2016. However, any organization or individual planning on applying MUST first register.

Registration is from November 1 to December 15, 2016. We strongly advise that organizations and individuals register during that time. Registering after that date will cause delays in processing your grant applications.

Also beginning November 1, 2016, there will be detailed information on our website on how to use the new system. We will be conducting regional grants workshops and offer a webinar to help you learn the new system. And as always, you can contact Commission staff to answer any questions you might have.

The new online grants system offers valuable benefits designed to help you apply and manage your grants more efficiently and easily.

You can expect exciting new features such as:

  • Automated “forgot password” resets upon request
  • Elimination of the 17 hard copies of your grant application
  • Elimination of the requirement for collecting and sending proof of current IRS status (will be checked online through Guidestar)
  • Missing information will be highlighted by compliance warnings
  • Draft grant applications can be shared with Commission staff for feedback

… and so much more.

So mark your calendars, and be on the lookout for information in your inbox about registering on the new online grants system.
