Enjoy the Arts This Summer!

Summer officially began this week with all the exciting outdoor festivals, events, and fairs across our great state of Tennessee. Tennessee has an abundance of venues and performances to create a road trip or enjoy an event closer to home centered around the arts. We hope that wherever this summer takes you that you will make arts and culture an important part of your summer plans. And thank you to all who make the arts possible across our state.

As we wrap up the end of our fiscal year, I want to remind everyone that our Arts Build Communities (ABC) grants are currently accepting applications. The ABC grant program is designed to provide support for arts projects that broaden access to arts experiences, address community quality of life issues through the arts, or enhance the sustainability of asset-based cultural enterprises . The application deadline is only one week away, July 1, 2022. Get your applications in now for art projects taking place between August 16, 2022 and June 15, 2023.

Our regional partners at South Arts are seeking applications for their Cross-Sector Impact Grants. These grants, which go up to $15,000, support “arts and…” projects developed by partners—one arts organization or artist, and one non-arts organization—harnessing the power of collaboration. There are two deadlines associated with this grant. Aug. 1 is the deadline for submitting a letter of interest in applying for the grant; and the full application deadline is Oct. 3.
