Murfreesboro, Rutherford Arts Alliance
The Mural Project was created to promote an awareness of and appreciation for the Leading Ladies of Rutherford County and their contributions to the community though public art. The Leading Ladies mural is an interactive teaching element for school children and a separate page was built on their website for the identification of historical figures. The mural was meant as a gift to the community of encouragement and hope.
This mural was sponsored by the Rutherford Arts Alliance and the Tennessee Arts Commission’s FY21 Arts Project Support grant.
