Heart of TN Sculpture Phase III
The third phase of a public art project, the Alliance originally planned to fabricate and install a large heart-shaped sculpture on the on the Breezeway Trail adjacent to St. Thomas Hospital in Murfreesboro. The project was to incorporate a concrete base, fencing with inlaid hearts, lighting, seating, and landscaping around the installation. The design and mockup of the sculpture were completed, but the COVID-19 pandemic postponed the fabrication and installation. This project responded to a local desire for inclusive artistic experiences and created a space for reflection and engagement.
