Festival Park Sculpture Playgorund

Mossy Creek Foundation created a Sculptural Playground for families and children, located within the newly established Festival Park in the historic district of Jefferson City. The park is now a space for arts projects, and helped convert an empty lot into an asset that spurs economic and community development in a disinvested downtown area.

A crowd of people, many seated and some in wheelchairs, gathers outdoors in front of a small pavilion with a white metal roof and bell tower for an event. The pavilion is next to old brick buildings under a cloudy sky.

Three young children sit inside a wooden play structure outdoors, two of them looking at the camera, while a nearby bell and rope are visible in the foreground.

A small wooden train play structure sits on a gravel area near a curved sidewalk, with grassy slopes and several brick buildings in the background under a partly cloudy sky.

A nighttime aerial view of a small town showing a park with white tents, people gathered inside, surrounding buildings, parked cars along the street, and distant city lights.
