Rauschenberg Emergency Grant Cycles Closing Soon

Each of these grant programs provides one-time grants of up to $5,000 to dance artists in need in the U.S., Tribal Nations, District of Columbia, and U.S. Territories, and are administered by New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA), with funding from the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation.

The Rauschenberg Dancer Emergency Grants program provides funding for essential expenses for professional dancers in need, who have a dire financial emergency due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Dancers must demonstrate an urgent and critical need for emergency support in order to apply. Dire financial emergencies include the lack or imminent endangerment of essentials such as housing, medicine/healthcare, utilities, and food. Cycle 2 is currently open through April 1, 2022; up to $5,000 may be requested for emergency expenses for up to a three-month period between December 1, 2021 and July 31, 2022. Cycle 12 of the Rauschenberg Medical Emergency Grants program is open through April 5, 2022. These grants of up to $5,000 support direct treatment expenses for medical, dental or mental health emergencies that occurred August 1, 2021 or later, for artists practicing in the visual arts, and film/video/electronic/digital arts and choreography.
