Scholarships Available to Attend 2021 Creative Placemaking Leadership Summit

From Rusty Sox, South Arts –

South Arts’ Creative Placemaking program is excited to announce the 2021 Creative Placemaking Leadership Summit, February 23-24, 2021. This virtual summit is presented by The National Consortium for Creative Placemaking in partnership with South Arts. The conference will be all-virtual, with outstanding content and some great digital features for networking, breakout sessions and workshops. You can learn more about the summit here.

South Arts is once again offering scholarships that will cover the full cost of registration, and we encourage teams of two or more creative placemakers from each community. A limited number of scholarships to cover the registration fee are offered to individuals in rural and small communities* in the South Arts region (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee). South Arts encourages community teams of two or more to attend the conference, including artists, representatives of arts and cultural organizations, local government, Main Street organizations, community planning & development agencies, higher education, and others who may be likely partners in creative placemaking efforts.

*Note: For this program, “rural or small” is defined as communities with population of 50,000 or below.

Information about the conference and online registration can be found on the main conference page.
