Staff Testing New Grants System

By Hal Partlow, Associate Director of Grants –

staff testingAll this week, TN Arts Commission staff rolled up their sleeves and began the in-depth process of testing the new Online Grants System. Liz Ryles, Implementation Manager with The Innovation Network, has been our trainer, advisor and supportive coach as we all navigate through each step of the grants process. The testing has helped us uncover areas we need to refine, but it also allowed us to dig deeper into the system and increase our familiarity with its functions and capabilities. When we open the system for applications, I am confident all the staff will be very knowledgable and comfortable  with it.

As posted last week, the Tennessee Arts Commission is implementing a brand new online grants system that will eventually replace the old eGrant system beginning November 1, 2016. FY18 grant applications will be available later in November, 2016. However, any organization or individual planning on applying MUST first register.

Registration is from November 1 to December 15, 2016. We strongly advise that organizations and individuals register during that time. Registering after that date will cause delays in processing your grant applications.

Also beginning November 1, 2016, there will be detailed information on our website on how to use the new system. We will be conducting regional grants workshops and offer a webinar to help you learn the new system. And as always, you can contact Commission staff to answer any questions you might have.
