Michelle O’Patick-Ollis: Winter

December 10, 2021–January 28, 2022

Artist Talk on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 11a.m. Central/12p.m. Eastern with O’Patick-Ollis where we will discuss her work, process, and future plans. RSVP here.

When not teaching, O’Patick-Ollis is busy creating commissioned portraits and murals for local businesses and homes while somehow still finding time to further develop a strong, personal body of work. Through using coffee as paint and developing mixed media drawings, her current work depicts the challenges of the aging process and grieving influenced by being a caregiver for her mother suffering from Parkinson’s disease and her father, a quadriplegic, with dementia. This exhibition spotlights O’Patick-Ollis’ important visual documentation of her parents at this stage of life, showing reduced motor skills while also sharing moments of playfulness and joy. More.
