Gallery 102

The Macon County Arts Council developed Galley 102 which features local art in a previously vacant building on the Lafayette Square. The building was renovated and offered for use by the Arts Council rent-free by a local attorney. This gallery is the first dedicated arts space in Lafayette. Partners included the Macon County Chamber of Commerce, the City of Lafayette and the Family Community Education County Council.

The image shows the exterior of a brick building with a sign reading Gallery 102 above large front windows. Three black light fixtures are mounted above the sign. Artwork is visible through the windows.

An adult and a young child stand on a wooden floor in an art gallery, smiling and holding paintings. The adult’s sign says “hello Spring” and the child’s sign says “lucky,” both decorated with green paint.

Four women stand indoors holding landscape paintings in front of a wall displaying various framed artworks. The floor is wooden, and a potted plant is on the left side of the image.
