Granville Arts & Cultural Center

Granville Museum further developed the Granville Arts & Cultural Center, arts and craftsmen shops of Pioneer Village, and the Trail of Artists. Artists and craftsmen were engaged to teach classes and seminars for burgeoning local artists and craftsmen, as well as for community festivals. Partners included local artists, Upper Cumberland Arts Alliance, Family and Community Education Clubs, Granville Senior Center, the Upper Cumberland Quilt Festival board, and various artisan groups.

A wooden sign reading Pioneer Village Welcome hangs above a red, white, and blue bunting. A green wheelbarrow with flowers sits in front, and a sign on the right points to an Arts and Crafts Building.

Two white canopy tents labeled “Wilson Bank & Trust” shelter arts and crafts displays, including patriotic decor and signs, at an outdoor fair. A person in shorts walks on a sidewalk past the tents on a sunny day.

A man stands in a barn-like room with wooden walls. Several handmade woven chairs and stools are on display. Four people sit in the background, including one dressed in historical clothing. Signs read Pat Stools $35 and Woven Demonstrations.

A person in a red and black jacket sits at a wooden table weaving a basket in a rustic wooden room. Several baskets, weaving materials, and craft supplies are spread out on the table.

A woman with curly gray hair sits at a small wooden table outdoors, knitting. There are colorful yarn balls on the table and in a basket labeled Susan Peek. She is smiling, with a white fence and grass in the background.
