Cherokee Blacksmith's Shop

The Friends of Red Clay Historic Area fabricated a 19th-century Cherokee blacksmith’s forge and installed an interpretive panel at Red Clay State Historic Park. This project broadened public understanding of Cherokee life and honored the area’s significance as the Cherokee Nation’s last seat of government before removal. The installation provided educational to connect with Native heritage through hands-on, historically informed experiences.
