"Dear Hearts and Gentle People"

City of Winchester commissioned a mural inspired the lyrics of the song, “Dear Hearts and Gentle People,” which native Dinah Shore sang and reportedly associated with the people of her hometown. The mural enhanced an alleyway between the Winchester Livery and the Kiwanis Amphitheater, and the City leveraged additional dollars and cost-saving measures to install two additional murals.

A mural painted on the side of a building depicts storefront windows, books, hats, and household items. Bright colors and whimsical designs continue along the wall, with string lights and utility poles visible in the background.

A mural on a brick wall features large red roses, a vintage pink car, a figure in a blue dress, and various colorful designs. Nearby, string lights hang above a paved alley with a wooden pole in the foreground.
