CAG Mural Apprentice Team Establishment and Projects

Carpenter Art Garden established a Mural Apprenticeship Program, in which resident youth from the Binghampton neighborhood learned to paint murals, manage projects, and engage community members. Project goals included creative and technical skill development, improved neighborhood aesthetics, enhanced community engagement, as well as youth and adult employment. Outcomes achieved included increased vibrancy along a high traffic corridor, enhancement of a neighborhood business establishment, and demonstrated community interest and pride.
