Bringing Johnson County's Cultural Heritage Sites to Life

The Center designed interpretive signs for unmarked cultural sites in Johnson County, each featuring images, historical context, and music-linked QR codes. This work expanded the Cultural Heritage Map project, the downtown Musical Heritage Mural Mile and the Long Journey Home Festival. Residents and visitors explored the region’s identity through immersive public art. The signs offered a new way to experience history in shared spaces.
