Tullahoma, DMA Events Tullahoma Art Center 2.0, Tullahoma Fine Arts Center
Muralist, Tara Aversa, painted for three days with a one-inch brush. Bertha immediately became a local celebrity, in addition to Tullahoma’s first public mural.
Bertha the Octopus mural was installed a full-scale mural on the southeast-facing wall visible from the State Highway 41 and State Highway 55 intersection to enhance community awareness of the Center and its programming. The project dovetailed with the city’s intent to launch an Arts District as well as support pedestrian friendly developments.
The Tullahoma Fine Arts Center and the Tennessee Arts Commission’s FY20 Creative Placemaking grant sponsored this project and DMA Events managed the creation of the mural. Image by Odinn Media.
