The Franklin County Arts Guild created a mural titled “Art Lives Here” and constructed a platform for live performances in a community garden alley. Inspired by the loss of cedar trees, the project revitalized a previously underused space and fostered cultural gatherings. The initiative deepened the town’s identity as a place where creativity and artists are supported. The mural, created by by Karen Ingle is now certified and registered as an official Monarch Way Station by the Monarch Watch Organization.
The mural was sponsored by the Tennessee Arts Commission’s FY22 Creative Placemaking grant and was managed by Franklin County Arts Guild.
