Downtown Summer Nights

Downtown Summer Nights (DSN), a summer concert series, was created in 2015 through a partnership between the Town of Decatur, Meigs County and the Meigs County-Decatur Chamber of Commerce. In its inaugural year, the series has done much more than provide the opportunity for people to experience the arts in a way previously not available. The concerts have proven to be beneficial to local business owners by driving traffic downtown, and to all citizens by providing a place to gather. The 2016 series consisted of 5 concert nights with 3-4 hours of music per night.

A band performs on an outdoor stage under a canopy, playing instruments to a seated audience at a daytime event with tents, trees, and a flag in the background.

A large crowd gathers outdoors in front of a historic building for an event, with people seated in folding chairs. Stage equipment and lights are visible in the foreground. It is daytime with clear skies.

A large crowd of people sit on folding chairs and gather outdoors under tents and umbrellas on a sunny day, with an American flag, trees, and hills visible in the background.

Three people stand on an outdoor stage under a wooden shelter with a U.S. flag banner hanging behind them. Two hold microphones, and sound equipment is visible at their feet. A sign reads WADE PARK.
