The Living Mural

SPLASH engaged youth in the Westside Community of Chattanooga through artistic expressions of cultural identity centered around the historic James A. Henry building. Students painted portraits of former students and faculty, which were later exhibited to the public, reinforcing the neighborhood’s deep educational legacy. The project elevated local voices and celebrated overlooked histories while advocating for the preservation of the Henry building as a youth arts center.
