Lantern Light

The Mayor’s Office led a mural project honoring the county’s history, informed by local oral histories and community focus groups. The mural “Lantern Light” supports the County’s heritage tourism efforts and pays tribute to the County’s coal mining history.

A mural painted on a building wall shows a lit lantern with an orange and yellow glow on the left, blending into a blue and black abstract background on the right; two small windows are at the top.

A person on a green lift paints a mural on a wall, while two others sit on the ground, working on the lower section. The mural features blue, orange, and black abstract shapes.
