Elizabethton Walking Tour

The EACA updated the Historic Downtown Elizabethton Walking Tour with 30 markers, installed six glass and tile mosaics in a downtown breezeway that connects hikers and bikers from the Tweetsie Trail to downtown’s Main Street, created four dioramas, and hired artists to perform at the Elizabethton farmers market. These projects were intended to drive traffic through the Historic Downtown Elizabethton district and encourage people to explore the county’s scenic and natural areas.

Children and adults draw with colorful chalk on a paved alleyway surrounded by brick walls. There are chalk drawings on the ground, a round picnic table with red umbrellas, and a storefront labeled FURNITURE PLAZA in the background.

A brick courtyard with framed geometric artwork mounted on the wall. Black outdoor lights are above each piece. There are metal benches, a sculpture, and a sign reading Carter partially visible in the background.

A plaque for the Elizabethton Walking Tour displays the number 27 and the title Bonnie Kate Theater. It includes a brief description of the theaters history, mounted on a brick wall.
