Walls for Women

As part of the ‘Walls for Women’ initiative, DMA-events commissioned murals in Hickman and Coffee Counties to honor the centennial of the 19th Amendment. These installations celebrated women’s history and public art in underserved communities. The murals reinforced regional identity through inclusive storytelling. Despite uncertainty around local partnerships, the murals reached a wide audience and inspired civic reflection.

Two adults on a green lift paint a colorful mural with flowers on a brick wall, while a child with long hair stands nearby, also painting. Paint supplies are visible, and the scene appears to be outdoors.
