Whitesburg Mural Project

The organization commissioned and installed a mural in Whitesburg that reflects the diverse unincorporated community’s desire for visibility and recognition as well as shared values, visibly rooting Black narratives within the region’s cultural landscape. Students participated in the installation and discussions, fostering a sense of ownership, and the project generated public interest and dialogue.
